Job Description:

Location: 1325 Community Memorial Drive, LaGrange IL, 60525

Schedule: Monday - Wednesday 8:30a-5p; Thursday 8:30a-5p or 8:30a-8p (alternating), Friday 8:30a-12p; Saturday 8:30a-12p (rotating)

Registers patient information and orders laboratory tests. Evaluates test requests for method, time, patient preparation, and proper collection procedures. Draws and collects blood samples according to policy. Verifies all related records. Labels, processes, and delivers specimens for testing. Maintains, cleans, and sterilizes equipment, instruments, and work area following safety, cleanliness, and infection control procedures. Trains new and current staff in different areas of the department. Assists with office duties such as OP orders, answering phone, faxing, and filing. Provides guidance and support to the phlebotomy team to enhance workflow and patient care. Maintains detailed records of specimens and patient information. Contributes to the overall effectiveness of laboratory services. Maintain required documentation for CLIA License. Other duties as assigned.

Education:
• Associate [Preferred]
• High School Grad or Equiv [Required]

Field of Study:
• GED with 2 years of experience,
• or Technical degree .


Licenses and Certifications:
• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Preferred]
• American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) [Preferred]
