Job Summary
The Histotechnician 3 performs and monitors various anatomic procedures and processes. They assume responsibility for problem resolution and train others in all department aspects with minimal supervision.
Essential Functions of the Role
- Perform variety of technical procedures resulting in creation of microscopic slide preparations.
- Follow quality control, quality assurance, safety, and infection control procedures.
- Recognize and take appropriate action when established procedures and policies are not followed.
- Perform instrument maintenance, maintain appropriate inventory of supplies and troubleshooting as needed.
- Maintain effective communication and working relationships with all laboratory personnel, other disciplines, and external customers.
- Participate in laboratory projects and educational activities.
- Demonstrates and educates laboratory methods, technical skills and provide direction to others.
- Performs all delegated functions as defined by facility CLIA Director. Assume leadership responsibility in the absence of Supervisor/Manager.

- EXPERIENCE - 2 Years of Experience
- CERTIFICATION/LICENSE/REGISTRATION -
ASCP-Histotechnician (ASCP-HT), ASCP-Histotechnologist (ASCP-HTL): Must have one of the following:
- ASCP-Histotechnician
- ASCP-Histotechnologist.
