LabCorp is seeking Phlebotomy to join our team at 4704 Ambassador Caffery Parkway Lafayette LA 70508.
Work Schedule: Monday -Friday 7:00 am-4:00 pm, with rotating Saturdays
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
- Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
- Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
- Process billing information and collect payments when required
- Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
- Maintain patient and specimen information logs
- Provide superior customer service to all patients
- Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
- Travel to additional sites when needed, Reliable transportation required
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1 or more years' phlebotomy experience working in a clinical / hospital environment
- 1 or more years' assisting pediatric patients
- Current or prior LabCorp experience
Additional Job Standards:
- In lieu of work experience, a phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency
- Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed
- Able to work in a fast paced / high volume work environment
- Exceptional customer service
- Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Comfortable working under minimal supervision

In this role you will provide exceptional customer service, perform skilled specimen collections and be the face of the company. Phlebotomists may be eligible for participation in the Phlebotomy Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics
