York Laboratory Associates has a full-time opening for a fifth certified Pathologists’ Assistant. This position requires a master’s degree by an accredited training program and certification as a Pathologists’ Assistant through the ASCP.
Responsibilities include gross examination and dissection of surgical specimens, assisting the pathologist in frozen sections and fetal autopsies, participating in student teaching, collection of tissue for research and data for quality assurance.
*Rotating Friday evening coverage with 4 other PAs (until all breast specimens are received and grossed). Friday work hours are adjusted to compensate for extended duty.

York Laboratory Associates is a physician group providing laboratory services to Wellspan York Hospital in York, PA.
The group consists of 13 pathologists, 2 PhDs and currently 4 pathologists' assistants. This listing is for a 5th pathologists' assistant. The annual 37,000+ surgical case load includes a variety of specimen types and complexity, as well as frozen section coverage and assistance with fetal autopsies. No adult autopsies.
