ACADEMIC SURGICAL PATHOLOGIST UNIVERSITY OF VERMONT
The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine of The Robert Larner, M.D. College of Medicine at the University of Vermont (UVM) is seeking an academic surgical pathologist for a full-time faculty appointment on the Clinical Scholar Pathway (non-tenure) at the Assistant, Associate, or Professor academic rank. Board eligibility or certification in Anatomic Pathology is required. The candidate must possess training and/or experience in general surgical pathology, and subspecialty service will be tailored to align with the candidate’s interest in anatomic pathology.
The candidate will join our 24 pathology colleagues in the Division of Anatomic Pathology at the University of Vermont Medical Center, which is the academic hospital in UVM Health Network. The Department serves as a regional reference laboratory for Vermont, upstate New York, and upstate New Hampshire, reviewing approximately 45,000 surgical pathology specimens annually. The candidate should be committed to education of medical students, residents, and surgical pathology and cytopathology fellows. The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine provides academic effort for an initial three years, allowing our new faculty to develop scholarly and educational activities aligned with their interests.
