ULTRASOUND SONOGRAPHER

You are not only accurate in what you do, but you’re

also good at supervising student sonographers

You have the ability to see where, how, and what needs to be corrected to achieve the best result. The empathy you show allows co-workers to be receptive to your advice and training. And your keen listening, independent judgement and attention to detail capabilities will help our physicians diagnose and treat various conditions facing our diverse community.

 Under the direction of a qualified physician, you will perform the highest quality diagnostic sonography examinations utilizing ultrasonic equipment in various modes and techniques to locate, evaluate and record anatomical, pathological, and functional data. You will also train/instruct student sonographers; schedule, coordinate, and record test accurately; and comply with infection control, QA, and standard precaution guidelines.                        

The Successful Sonographer has:

  • Graduated from an AMA-approved Ultrasound program
  • Current RDMS certification from ARDMS
  • Preferably 2 years of experience as a Sonographer
  • A good grasp of sterile technique and experience with interventional procedures
  • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to multi-task
