KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
Maintains current, valid BLS (Basic Life Support) and FL RN license.
•Performs general nursing activities, ensuring quality care and efficient/timely flow of patients.
•Oversees appointment scheduling to ensure preferences are given to patients in emergency situations. Escorts patients
to exam room within 15 minutes of arrival time as logged on the sign in sheet.
•Accurately performs and records in patient chart height, weight, temperature, blood pressure, respiration, and pulse.
Screens complete and appropriate medical information from patient.
•Assists patients for exam, having them in proper undress. Instructs patients clearly in collection of samples and tests
needed. Collects specimens within 10 mins of being ordered by the physician. Performs vena punctures within timely
manner.
•Prepares equipment and aids physicians during treatment, examination and testing of patients. Maintains and securely
controls medical supplies and medication counts, with adequate supporting records
•Performs audio, vision, spirometer tests for executive physical and pre-employment exams if applicable.
•Responds and refers patient related phone calls within a two hour period. Calls in prescriptions as ordered by the
physician within 30 minutes.
•Completes referrals (for other MD's and insurance companies), hospital admissions and processes information and
gives patient clear instructions.
•Retrieves and accepts results of tests. Prepares specimens and requisitions for lab work.
•Performs lab tests as ordered by physician following proper lab and office policies. Reports stat results immediately to
physician and or patient. Administers all medications including IV medication and fluids. (If necessary).
•Observes, records, and accurately, efficiently reports patient condition and reaction to medications and treatment to
physician.
•Use proper injection techniques. Maintains a sterile technique.
•Documents all phone conversations regarding patients and recommendations. Documents all prescriptions called to any
pharmacy as ordered by the physician.
•Assists and ensures all patient records, notes are filed in patient chart. Prepares medical chart for dictation.
•Copies, faxes, or transmits other medical records as needed.
•Performs other job related duties as assigned, needed or requested.
•Maintains medication safety by monitoring refrigerator and freezer temperatures and dating multi-dose vials when
opened. Ensures that no expired medications are available for use.
Qualifications EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Associate and 1+ years experience Registered Nurse •One to two years of professional nursing experience; physician office preferred.
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED:
Basic Life Support - CPR Cert Registered Nurse

care. Skill in identifying problems and recommending solutions. Skill in preparing and maintaining records, writing
reports, and responding to correspondence. Skill in developing and maintaining department quality assurance.
Demonstrated skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, and the
public. Ability to maintain quality control standards. Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
Ability to interpret, adapt, and apply guidelines and procedures.
