DescriptionUnder general supervision of the BURL Supervisor and BURL Manager, the HLT performs, a wide variety of technical and non-technical procedures, independently, within the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine.  The HLT prepares specimens for analysis as needed, i.e. label, centrifuge aliquot and receive and follows up when specimens are unacceptable.  Performs laboratory functions within the expected turn-around time according to established procedures and management guidelines.  Performs accurate computer order entry functions.  Assists in validation and implementation of new processes, software and/or equipment.
