Description Laboratory Assistant II Position is available in the Laboratory of Membrane Biology on the VA GLAHS campus, funded through UCLA Department of Pediatrics. Work closely with an MD in Pediatric Gastroenterology and a PhD Senior Research Physiologist to perform experiments involving the gastric pathogen Helicobacter pylori. Job duties include preparing solutions, cleaning glassware, ordering supplies, maintaining bacterial and cell cultures, working with small animal model systems and human tissue samples, performing experiments, and collecting/cataloging data.
