Responsible for collecting specimens such as blood, tissue and urine and process the samples for the lab.Principal Accountabilities:1. Accesses, labels, and processes laboratory specimens.2. Loads specimens on lab analyzers and equipment.3. Performs patient registrations and orders lab tests in computer.4. Answers phone calls for laboratory information.5. Produces lab reports, sorts, and delivers, 6. Picks up lab specimen from various hospital procedure areas.7. Processes and packs lab specimens for transport. 8. Performs other related duties as assigned.
