• Facility: BayCare Health System, Cytology Services
• Status: Full Time, Non Exempt
• Shift: 7:30am - 4:00pm (May Vary)
• Occasional weekends required
• On Call: No
• Always in person, no remote work

The Cytotechnologist Responsibilities:

• Evaluates and diagnosis Non-GYN cases for Pathologist review
• Evaluates and diagnosis GYN cases.
• Performs Rapid On-Site Evaluations for FNA procedures including CT-Guided and US-Guided procedures.
• Knowledge of multiple Cytology Reporting Systems.
• Excellent inter- and intra-departmental communications skills.
• Maintains equipment, supplies, and instrumentation.
• Ability to assist in the Cytopreparatory lab, as needed.
• Works independently and in a team.
• Demonstrate organizational, time management, interpersonal, written, and verbal skills.
• Use computer skills appropriate to position.
• Needs to understand medical terminology.

Requirements:

• ASCP Certified Technologist in Cytology
• State of Florida License Clinical Laboratory Personnel - Cytotechnologist
• Bachelor's in related field
• Bachelor's requirement can be waived if certified prior to 1985
• Preferred - 2 years Cytology experience.
• Hospital experience not required, training available
