Sierra Vista Pathology is seeking a full-time Histotechnologist or Histotechnician to join an independent Pathologist owned and operated histology laboratory. We are a moderate volume, rural laboratory, based in Sierra Vista, Arizona serving local hospitals and clinics.

Primary responsibility to perform all duties required for histologic examination of tissues. Embeds tissue samples, operates tissue processor and microtomes. Performs H&E, IHC and special stains as requested.

Responsibilities include gross exam of surgical pathology specimens.  Grossing experience is desirable.  Must have willingness to learn this area.

• Four years or more (4+) experience in histology preferred.
• Demonstrated ability in all aspects of histology laboratory processes.
• Familiarity with histology, anatomy, medical terminology and computer operations.
• Histotechnician or histotechnologist ASCP certification or equivalent
