This position will serve as a phlebotomist, specimen processor, and customer service support in the Laboratory Specimen Processing Section in support of VA Medical Center wards and outpatient clinics. Work may be performed in the laboratory, or in-patient care areas of the hospital. To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement. In accordance with 38 U.S.C. 7402(d), No person shall serve in direct patient care positions unless they are proficient in basic written and spoken English. You must be proficient in basic written and spoken English to meet the requirements of this position. -AND- You may qualify at the GS-04 level if you fulfill one of the following qualifications: -GS-4 Experience: Six (6) months of general experience
