These positions serve in the Phlebotomy and processing section of the Pathology and Laboratory Medicine Service. The positions provide phlebotomy support for both in-patients­ and out-patients at the VA Illiana HealthCare System. The position will perform phlebotomy, accession specimens and perform other procedures necessary to ensure appropriate specimen receipt, handling, and processing. IN ORDER TO QUALIFY FOR THIS POSITION AT THE GS-4 LEVEL YOU MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING: ENGLISH LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY: In accordance with 38 U.S.C. 7402(d), No person shall serve in direct patient care positions unless they are proficient in basic written and spoken English.
