St. Luke's Health System in Boise, Idaho is seeking a Laboratory Technical Lead to join our Boise Main Laboratory team.

Unit/Position Summary

The Laboratory Technical Lead oversees and administers a variety of tests. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. May organize workflow and technical direction of others. Is familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

Responsibilities

• Work in conjunction with leaders from PH1 and PH2
• Prep onboarding materials for new hires, make sure all are complete, and stored electronically.
• Develop and revise training and onboarding documents.
• Develop and revise technical skills checklists.
• Develop training for supervisor onboarding.
• Help with the development and prep of the competency documents for Lab/AP staff for the critical thinking assessments with help from the Program Managers.
• Be a resource for training documents that arise with projects for Laboratory.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor of Science degree.
• Experience: 4 years' experience.
• Certification: Must have one of the following:
  • Blood Banking (ASCP_BB)
  • Chemistry (ASCP_C)
  • Cytogenetics (CYGT)
  • Cytotechnologist (ASCP_CT)
  • Hematology (ASCP_H)
  • Histotechnologist (ASCP_HTL)
  • Microbiology (ASCP_M)
  • Molecular Biology (ASCP_MB)
  • Medical Lab Scientist (ASCP_MLS)
  • Medical Technologist (ASCP_MT or AMT_MT).
