Compass Oncology - the largest privately-owned Cancer Care and Research Facility in the Pacific Northwest - is looking for a PET Technologist Assistant. While having medical office experience is a good place to start, we are looking for individuals that have the heart for service, are eager to learn and grow with an organization who values service, excellence and respect.
Employment Type: Full-Time, 40 Hours M-F
Location: This is a 'float' position. Monday and Tuesday you will work from our Vancouver Cancer Center (Vancouver, WA) and Thursday and Friday you will work from our West Cancer Center (Tigard, OR). Wednesday will be rotating locations.
Salary Range: $15.93- $23.02 Per Hour
**Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise as well as internal employee equity considerations.
JOB SCOPE: Under direct supervision, assists PET Technologist in a medical environment. Maintains efficient patient flow and assists with patient care. Performs support tasks including filing, answering phones, and coordinating patient schedules. Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.
Responsibilities: ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensures complete and accurate accumulation and/or transfer of patient records. May provide copies of film or digital media to physicians and/or patients as needed.
Provides patient transport and lifting assistance.
May perform patient archiving and other data backup on acquisition and processing stations as needed. Ensures completion of data transfer to remote workstations. Performs data management on the processing workstation. Tracks and reports facility utilization.
Provides general facility maintenance assistance as needed. May assist in preparation of mobile coach for transport. Maintains service logs for scanner and mobile coach as needed
Verifies and prepares patient schedules.
Maintains inventories as directed.
Schedules Specialty PET Imaging studies
Facilitates reminder calls and messages to patients about upcoming appointments
Reviews prep instructions with patients
Qualifications: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High school graduate or equivalent. Healthcare experience required. Current CPR certification required.
