JOB SUMMARY:

Performs routine and specialized ultrasound imaging procedures in accordance with established professional and departmental standards.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:

1. Performs routine and specialized ultrasound procedures.
2. Performs quality control tests as assigned.
3. Checks technical quality of images; submits for interpretation; discusses findings with Radiologist.
4. Enters exam data on forms/computer screens as required by protocols.
5. Takes patient history; documents for Radiologist.
6. Explains procedures to patients.
7. Maintains required continuing education credits.
8. Participates in on call rotation as assigned.
9. Participates in research and development of new methodologies and procedures.
10. Maintains records, logs and documentation as required.
11. Ensures accuracy in the medication process, including transport, storage, security and/or administration of medications to include IV solutions.
12. Strives to achieve excellence of service as described in the CARE Manual.
13. Responds to the following Shore Health System codes: Code Red (in the immediate area), Code Pink (if called), Code D (if called).
