A laboratory position responsible for preanalytic specimen triage, clerical information management, and processing. Histology Assistants receive and prepare tissue and body fluid specimens in preparation for processing, manage specimen storage after testing, and handle reference laboratory testing. These associates may also provide support to Pathologists in the morgue or with other procedures, dependent upon site requirements. Histology Associates support Histotechnologists and Pathologists, who process and analyze tissue specimens from patients in order to diagnose and treat diseases.What You Bring/Job Requirements:In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following: * 1 year related experience preferred* High School Diploma or GED required.* 1 year vocational certificate or Associates in Medical Assisting preferred.Schedule: 11:30am to 8:00pm Light work - (Exert up to 20lbs force occasionally, and/or up to10lbs frequently)Your Connected Community:When people and places align, incredible things happen.
