Provides oversight of clinical laboratory technical and preanalytic processes. Ensures laboratory follows established policies, procedures, and processes, and complies with regulatory requirements (eg, CLIA, CAP, TJC, and OSHA). These leaders provide a high level of technical knowledge and application of that knowledge to testing and clinical relevance. Performs general clinical laboratory testing as needed. Serves as a laboratoryliaison with other laboratory departments and hospital services. Functions in a self-directed manner, and exhibits effective communication and advanced problem solving skills.What You Bring/Job Requirements:In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following: * Bachelors Degree in Clinical laboratory, chemical or biological science required* 2 years MLS/MT or MLT work experience in the clinical laboratory required.* MLS with ASCP, or MT with ASCP, AMT, or equivalent certification, or specialty.Physical RequirementsLight Work - exert/lift up to 20 lbs. force occasionally, and/or up to 10 lbs. frequentlyYour Connected Community:When people and places align, incredible things happen.
