Patient Care
Conduct exercise counseling, programming and rehabilitation for clinical populations under direct mentorship. Conduct field testing and fitness evaluation for clinical populations. Develop patient/diagnosis specific testing protocols under direct mentorship. Comply with policies and procedures protecting patient rights for informed consent and the handling of confidential information as defined by Cincinnati Children's mission and applicable laws and regulations.

Research
Analyze data and test measures for research projects under direct mentorship. Participate in data management and analysis for research projects and publications/presentations under direct mentorship. May implement existing protocols and initiate research protocols inclusive of IRBs under direct mentorship. Prepare and present scientific reports (abstracts, manuscripts and articles) and manuals. Collaborate with other investigators at Cincinnati Children's and in the community wishing to use the resources of the department.

Equipment Maintenance
Perform first echelon maintenance and calibration of medical instrumentation for exercise testing/therapy and data analysis.

Training & Education
Provide/generate training materials and programming for instruction of Fellows, residents, and allied health personnel. Conduct in-service on exercise testing/therapy for Fellows, residents and allied health care personnel. Attend required Cincinnati Children's training sessions, including radiation safety, laboratory safety, safety college, patient safety, and OSHA. Comply with infection control policies and procedures.

Quality & Process Improvement
Participate in improving organizational performance through recommending areas or approaches for improvement activities, performing new procedures, collecting data and providing input to Heart Institute discussions. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Required:

Masters degree in related field. May require clinical license, certification or training

0 - 2 years of work experience in a related job discipline
