Summary: Works in the Core Laboratory under the supervision of Medical Laboratory Scientists, assisting with some elements of clinical testing and setup, maintenance, inventory, and other general duties.
Other information: Experience: Will consider students currently enrolled in an accredited laboratory science program. Will consider associates and/or bachelor degree graduates in chemistry or biological sciences. Education Requirement: High School degree and currently enrolled in an accredited laboratory science program or associate or bachelors degree in chemistry or biological sciences.
Responsibilities: Job duties include: Specimen processing, loading samples on the analyzers, performing routine maintenance and QC loading. Performing inventory, stocking and bench cleaning. Storage tracking/discard of samples. Sample preparation. Loading blood culture bottles and plating microbiology samples for culture. May be trained in result verification.
