Job Description
The Department of Pathology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center is seeking to recruit a board-certified academic dermatopathologist at the rank of Assistant or Associate Attending level. The Dermatopathology Team, led by Dr. Klaus Busam, is composed of 5 dermatopathologists with extensive expertise in neoplastic and non-neoplastic skin disorders. The position provides an opportunity to practice Dermatopathology in a unique professional environment that emphasizes a multidisciplinary team approach to personalized patient care with cutting edge diagnostic and treatment modalities. Applicants should have a strong interest in collaborative research, for which there are ample opportunities with an outstanding supportive infrastructure. There will be additional opportunity to work and collaborate with digital pathology and machine learning experts on novel technologies and develop AI models as applicable in dermatopathology.
Candidates are required to be Board eligible or certified in Anatomic Pathology and Dermatopathology. They will be expected to provide diagnostic services in Dermatopathology, engage in collaborative patient care and translational research efforts with members of our cutaneous oncology disease management teams, and to teach Dermatopathology fellows, students and residents in Pathology and Dermatology. MSK offers a competitive compensation package with exceptional benefits based on experience and accomplishments. Physician compensation is based on multiple variables. For the different appointment levels under consideration, it ranges from $ 222,000 to $ 475,000. This range represents annual salary only and does not include supplemental performance-based pay or any one-time payments that eligible candidates may be offered at the time of hire.
