Job Summary:

The Mammography Technologist is responsible for providing quality patient care and the highest care and the highest quality imaging examinations. This is accomplished by demonstrating clinical competence, facilitating an ongoing continuous quality control/improvement process of the services offered.

Education:

• Graduate of AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology program.

Experience:

• Preferred of one year technical experience. Preferred one year of mammography experience.

Training/License:

• Registered by the A.R.R.T. in Radiologic Technology and Mammography.
• Valid New York State Radiographic license from the Department of Health.

Other:

• ARRT(M) certification is mandated by ACR accreditation.
• Mammography Registry (AART [M]) will be obtaining within one year of hire date.
• Employees must comply with ACR regulations on certification.
