Position Summary: he Point of Care Coordinator is responsible for coordinating all point of care testing according to manufacturers procedures, and/or CLIA requirements. The Point of Care Coordinator assures quality testing and accurate test performance through operator training, equipment monitoring, equipment maintenance and troubleshooting, quality control review and proficiency testing. Responsibilities, knowledge, skills, abilities, and working conditions may change as needs evolve.
Minimum Requirements: Minimum 2 years laboratory experience required Strong computer skills and ability to organize and present data Strong analytic, interpersonal and communication skills required Able to analyze laboratory data Knowledge of QC/QA/QI principles and processes required
Education/Licenses/Certifications: High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) BS or BA in Medical Technology or related field required Must have and maintain current CPR/BLS certification MT or equivalent certification ASCP or NCA certification preferred
