Maryland Oncology Hematology is dedicated to providing the most advanced cancer care available anywhere in an atmosphere of caring compassion. Responsibilities:
Technical: Accurately obtains 2D, Doppler, spectral and measurements under the direction of the physician in charge.
Uses cognitive sonographic skills to identify and record appropriate anatomical, pathological and diagnostic images.
Maintains the equipment to the highest standard of cleanliness and coordinates with manufacturer regarding any service issues.
Administrative: Completes necessary documentation, charge capture, logs and records.
Attends regularly scheduled QA meetings for the echocardiography laboratory.
Other duties as requested or assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent required. Completion of a cardiac ultrasound program.
American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS)/Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) certification or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)/Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) certification required.
Two to five years of work experience in echocardiography required.
