Job Summary
The main duties of the Mammography Facilitator are to assist mammography department with scheduling patients and MQSA compliance.Job Duties
- Schedule six month follow-up exams and biopsies.
- Manage all diagnostic call-backs for Grays Woods, Philipsburg and Lewistown Clinic.
- Schedule Savi Scout and needle localization procedures.
- Manage the review of the Grays Woods screening mammography schedule.
- Obtain prior imaging if performed at an outside facility.
- Assist w/schedule corrections, contacting patients when needed.
- Monitor unread studies list ensuring MQSA compliance.
- Track parked exams (MQSA).
- Upload outside images and reports to PACS in an efficient manner to not cause delays.
- Burn/send discs and push images to outside facilities.
- Enter pathology for biopsies (MQSA).
- Print 0-6 lay letters and reports for Lead Tech for Quarterly review with LIP (MQSA).
- Obtains outside reports for proof of what it looks like for Q review (MQSA).
- Cover for radiology secretary in her absence.
- Accurately types exam and treatment data into the computer; prepares consent forms and other demographic data for patients receiving treatment.
- Transports patients to and from treatment area assisting them both on and off the table and while positioning properly for studies.
- Transports supplies, minor equipment, X-Rays, reports, and files between departments as needed.
- Assists technologist with setting up patient prep for procedures.
- Assist with file retrieval, supply replenishment and other duties as requested.
- Makes copies of correspondence or other printed materials, using copier, fax, or other office-based devices.
- Always uses proper lifting techniques as demonstrated in annual body mechanics in-service.
