Atlantic Health System is seeking a Part Time Clinical Lab Assistant I for the LAB-Specimen Processing Department at Chilton Medical Center to work 2:30pm to 10:30pm, including every other weekend.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

• Accession, label, and process laboratory specimens
• Load specimens on lab analyzers and equipment
• Perform patient registration and order lab tests in computer
• Answer phone calls for laboratory information
• Produce lab reports, sort, and deliver
• Pick up lab specimen in various hospital procedure areas
• Process and pack lab specimens for transport

Qualifications:

Minimum Education:

• High School Diploma or GED required

Relevant Experience:

• Laboratory, Physician office or clinical experience preferred
• Medical Terminology experience preferred
