INSTRUCTOR WEST VIRGINIA UNIVERSITY SCHOOL OF MEDICINE PATHOLOGY, ANATOMY AND LABORATORY MEDICINE
West Virginia University (WVU) is seeking a full-time, 12 month, faculty member (Instructor) for the Medical Laboratory Science Program, Division of Biomedical Laboratory Diagnostics, within the Department of Pathology, Anatomy, and Laboratory Medicine in the School of Medicine.
The Division consists of three NAACLS accredited programs; two undergraduate, Clinical Laboratory Science and Histotechnology, and one graduate, Pathologists’ Assistant. The School of Medicine is part of a thriving academic medical center which also includes the Schools of Dentistry, Nursing, Pharmacy and Public Health. Together, the five Schools provide robust opportunities and programs for interprofessional education, collaborative practice and research.
The primary responsibility of this position is teaching laboratory courses within the Medical Laboratory Science Program. Other responsibilities include management of student laboratories, student advising and recruiting, secondary teaching assignments, and participation in service activities for the program, university, and/or profession.
Qualified applicants must possess a bachelor’s degree in MLS, have national certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist (Clinical Laboratory Scientist/Medical Technologist), and possess recent clinical experience.

Qualifications
Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled. The appointment date is negotiable, but the goal is to have the position filled no later than January 1, 2023. Salary will commensurate with qualifications and experience.
