Laboratory Customer Service serves the critical role of handling allcphone calls coming into the department of laboratories; investigating, resolving and helping our clients (including our internal departments) so that we may deliver excellent care to our
patients. This allows our technologist team-members to concentrate on laboratory testing. Every caller is our customer and the Laboratory Customer Service representative’s goal is to successfully assist each caller no matter what their need may be.

Role Purpose

The Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) I performs processing and routine testing on blood and other specimens which requires a knowledge and understanding of quality control, basic instrument maintenance, and procedure methodologies and reference ranges. Demonstrates good laboratory practices.
