We are seeking an experienced Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) or recent graduate, to support our busy IAC accredited Vascular Lab, in Reston, Virginia.

Responsibilities include:

• The Vascular Ultrasound Technologist will perform a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgement, ingenuity, and initiative in the application of non-ionizing high frequency ultrasonic waves in the diagnosis of vascular disease
• Proficiency in all aspects of Carotid Duplex, Renal Artery Duplex, Aortoiliac Duplex, Mesenteric Duplex, Peripheral Arterial Duplex, and Peripheral Venous Duplex (DVT, vein mapping, insufficiency)
• Recognizes normal and abnormal Vascular structure, function, and hemodynamics
• Maintains cleanliness and neatness of equipment and work area
• Reviews the patient's clinical history fully to identify the purpose of the examination and select appropriate protocol
• Consistently processes exams on EMR and other programs according to department protocol
• Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of ultrasound physics, instrumentation, tissue characteristics, and measurements of blood flow, including the biological effects of ultrasound.
• Assumes responsibility for Quality Control and Quality Assurance
