Job Summary:
The Clinical Laboratory Assistant II � Phlebotomist performs routine technical and clerical functions to include specimen registration and billing. The CLA II performs venipuncture - capillary puncture as assigned; labels tubes and specimen containers, specimen receipt and distribution of laboratory specimens. The lab assistant II - phlebotomist performs CLIA waived laboratory tests as requested. Will assist in microbiology processing and plating specimens, as requested and completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period.
MINIMUM EDUCATION: High School Graduate or equivalent.
