The Medical Technologist performs moderate and high complexity clinical laboratory testing with minimal supervision. Duties include: test performance and reporting of test results; maintaining work area including records, supplies and equipment; identifying problems that may adversely affect test performance or reporting of test results; documenting all quality control, proficiency testing and corrective actions and utilizing computer systems for instrument operation, data storage, retrieval and reporting.
