St. Luke's Health System in Magic Valley is seeking Medical Lab Scientists or Technicians to join our Laboratory teams in Twin Falls and Jerome!

RELOCATION, SIGNING BONUS, SHIFT DIFFERENTIALS, AND OTHER EXCELLENT BENEFITS!

We have a need for scientists/technologists for day, evening/swing, and night shifts.

• Day shifts are eight-hour shifts, starting at 6:00 or 8:00 a.m., with rotating weekends
• Swing/Evening shifts are eight-hour shifts, starting at noon., with rotating weekends
• Night shifts work seven, 11-hour shifts with seven days off

Responsibilities

• Tests specimens in an accurate, organized and prioritized manner following laboratory procedures and policies to ensure quality and time guidelines in accordance with all regulatory agency requirements.
• Collects a variety of specimens as required by specific section needs, with skill and sensitivity to needs of the patient.
• Ensures specimens are properly identified, collected, labeled and stored.
• Performs instrument maintenance according to section procedures.
• May provide mentorship & training to others.
• Maintains inventory of supplies.
• Maintains a safe and clean working environment.
• Follows department policy maintaining all necessary records and documentation.
• Ensures input is accurate and complete.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Medical Lab Scientists require:

  • A Bachelor of Science degree from a NAACLS-accredited Medical/Clinical Laboratory Science program is preferred. Bachelor of Science degree in Laboratory Science, Chemistry, Microbiology, or Biology and related are acceptable with specific lab coursework relevant to the MLS position, including culminating rotations in medical facilities
  • ACSP, AMT, or BOC certification is preferred, or may be enrolled in an NAACLS program with the ability to obtain certification within one year of employment
  • Medical lab experience is preferred but not required. Rotations during educational program are acceptable experience!

• Medical Lab Technologists require:

  • An Associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or related program
  • ACSP, AMT, or BOC certification is preferred, or may be enrolled in an NAACLS program with the ability to obtain certification within one year of employment
  • Medical lab experience is preferred but not required. Rotations during educational program are acceptable experience!
