You.

You bring your body, mind, heart and spirit to your work as a MRI Technologist.

Your compassion is tangible: patients feel it in the hand they hold. Families feel it in your prayers. Colleagues feel it in your support.

You know how to move fast. You know how to stay organized. You know how to have fun.

Youâ™re equally comfortable with MRI protocols, communication, and patient care.

Youâ™re great at what you do, but you want to be part of something even greater. Because you believe that while individuals can be strong, the right team is invincible.

Us.

Lutheran Medical Center is currently seeking an experienced MRI Technologist to join our team.  We are looking for a technologist that would be able to assist with on-call rotation, and have the availability/flexibility to cover variable shifts, up to and including evenings, and weekends.

Lutheran Medical Center is part of SCL Health, a faith-based, nonprofit healthcare organization that focuses on person-centered care. Our 249-bed community-based hospital provides comprehensive, specialty care to the poor, the vulnerable, our communities and each other. Dating back to 1905, we are proud of the rich history and inspiring mission our hospital has embodied for over 110 years.

Benefits are one of the ways we encourage health for you and your family. Our generous package includes medical, dental and vision coverage. But health is more than a well-working body: it encompasses body, mind and social well-being. To that end, weâ™ve launched a Healthy Living program to address your holistic health. Healthy Living includes financial incentives, digital tools, tobacco cessation, classes, counseling and paid time off. We also offer financial wellness tools and retirement planning.

We.

Together weâ™ll align mission and careers, values and workplace. Weâ™ll encourage joy and take pride in our integrity.

Weâ™ll laugh at each otherâ™s jokes (even the bad ones). Weâ™ll hello and high five. Weâ™ll celebrate milestones and acknowledge the value of spirituality in healing.

Weâ™re proud of what we know, which includes how much there is to learn.

Your day.

As a MRI Technologist you need to know how to:

  • Operate a magnetic resonance scanner to obtain images used by physicians in the diagnosis and treatments of pathologies.

  • Requires thorough knowledge and understanding of the principals and physics of magnetic resonance imaging.

  • Select appropriate imaging techniques and protocols to complete the exam.

  • Receive patients, explains method of examination, and positions patient, performs IV puncture, and administers IV contrast agent when indicated.

  • Independently performs and completes routine examinations.

  • Meet the needs of the patient, family and multi-disciplinary team through effective communication, coordination and documentation ensuring safety, care, courtesy and efficiency.

  • Actively participates in quality initiatives to ensure the highest level of patient satisfaction, highest level of patient care and workflow efficiencies.

Your experience.

We hire people, not resumes. But we also expect excellence, which is why we require:

  • Associate Degree or equivalent from two-year College or Technical School; or one year minimum related experience and/or training, required

  • ARRT (R) (MR) or NMTCB registry, required

  • Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association (CPR), required

  • Ability to interact with people of all ages; therefore, the employee must have communication skills appropriate for people of all ages, required

  • At least one (1) year experience as a MRI Technologist, preferred

Your next move.

Now that you know more about being a MRI Technologist on our team we hope youâ™ll join us. At SCL Health youâ™ll reaffirm every day how much you love this work, and why you were called to it in the first place.
