Responsible for performance of cytology testing within the analytical laboratory. Provides a high level of technical knowledge and application of that knowledge to department testing and clinical relevance. This position serves as a department resource and assists in process improvement initiatives and department compliance with pertinent laboratory accreditation and regulatory requirements, such as CLIA, CAP, TJC, and OSHA. Consistently functions in a self-directed manner and exhibits excellent communication and complex problem-solving skills. Flexibility to work variable hours and ability to travel to multiple hospitals may be required.

Qualified external applicants with direct clinical experience eligible for up to a $15,000 sign on bonus! The bonus will be taxed per IRS regulations. Additional relocation bonus may apply based on geographical location.? Must be hired into a full-time or part-time position; PRN positions are not eligible. Some exclusions may apply.

In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:

• 1 year of experience in the field or in a related area preferred
• Bachelors degree required
• Certification by American Society of Clinical Pathologists as a Cytotechnologist required within 6 months of hire
