The Special Procedures Technologist consults with the radiologist regarding procedures to be performed on patients of all types. Performs daily and/or weekly Quality Control on Angiogrpahy's equipment as required. Serves as a positive role model, while working in collaboration with all levels of departmental personnel.

Experience:

Demonstrated ability to effectively function as a health care team member. Demonstrated skills necessary to perform teaching and leadership duties as required within the job description. Deonstrated effective communication skills, and ability to work effectively and efficiently in stressful situations. Minimum of two [2] years progressive technical experience in Diagnostic Radiology. Minimum of three [3] months training in the performance of Special Procedures. Education and Training: Completion of an approved AART program in Radiology.License, Certificate and Registration: Registered Radiographic Technologist by the American Registry of Radiology Technologists. Current license by New York State Department of Health. Appropriate Federal State and local licensing requirements. Other Requirements: The ability to effectively deal with patients, employees, physicians, other healthcare providers and visitors. Meets the requirements established by Employee Health Servces.
