Description
JOB SUMMARY The Division of Allergy, Immunology and Pulmonary Medicine at Vanderbilt supports a robust and growing research program focused on clinical research to help understand and improve the care of children with asthma. Clinical and translational research efforts are directed at the pathogenesis of asthma in early life and approaches to asthma management throughout childhood, including multi-center federally funded clinical trials in asthma.

Under the guidance and supervision of the Principal Investigator, the Clinical/Translational Research Coordinator III will work with the obstetricians and their staff to develop and implement a recruitment plan. This will require direct contact with pregnant women, explaining the study, and obtaining consent. He/she will organize the collection of all prenatal samples and will coordinate with the RA samples to be collected shortly after birth. Depending on the time commitment required in the OB office, this individual will also work in the study office for administrative activities and in the PCRU participating in study visits.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Plans and implements recruitment procedures for potential participants

  1. Manages samples after collection

Specific examples : He/she will organize the collection of all prenatal samples and will coordinate with the RA samples to be collected shortly after birth.

  1. Participate in Study Visits

Specific examples : The CTRC III will participate in Study visits in the PCRU and with the Obstetricians affiliated with this project

**Job Requirements**

Bachelors Diploma (or equivalent experience) and 3 years relevant experience

  • Additional Qualification Information:
    • Prior to advancing to a Clinical/Translational Research Coordinator III must have completed a Research 101 course such as RSS Boot camp; applicant/new hire must complete a Research 101 course within six (6) months of hire.

  • Neuroendocrine cell hyperplasia of infancy (NEHI)
