Atlantic Health System is currently seeking a Full Time Clinical Lab Assistant I to work at our Atlantic Consolodated Lab in Morris Plains to work 4pm - 12am five days per week and varied weekends.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities of Position:

• Performs accurate patient registration for outpatient laboratory specimen
• Assists pathologists in performing frozen section procedures and other tasks required to process tissues in gross room, as applicable
• Demonstrates computer proficiency
• Assures proper collection, completion and reporting of tests ordered
• Reviews pending logs and investigates/resolves outstanding issues

Minimum Education Required:

• High School Diploma/GED
• Associates degree preferred

Minimum Experience Required:

• Medical terminology experience and clinical experience preferred, along with knowledge of anatomy and physiology
