The community you’ll be caring for: AdventHealth Altamonte Springs

The role you’ll contribute: Supervises staff and department activities that provide service to all patients. Responsible for the efficiency, effectiveness and utilization of the procedural area, staff and equipment. Maintains a smooth and cost-effective patient flow. Serves as administrative liaison to patients and physicians. Accountable for tracking patient charges and maintaining various records of documentation. Responsible for oversight of inventory management and supplies. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

• Based on regulatory allowable practices at each specially licensed campus facility, proficiently performs effectively in all three procedural roles (circulate, monitor, scrub) required in a diagnostic or therapeutic cardiac laboratory team based on the Society of Invasive Cardiovascular Professionals scope of practice or performs effectively in all three procedural roles (circulate, monitor, scrub) required in an electrophysiology laboratory based on the Society of Invasive Cardiovascular Professionals scope of practice.
• Plans, develops, and coordinates department activities in the most effective way. Supports and enforces policy and procedure. Ensures safety of self, staff, physicians and patients. Manages time and equipment effectively and works as a team member to provide the best possible care to the patient. Receives assignments, instructions, and guidance from Manager or Director and is compliant with special requests as situations dictate.
• Practices the principles of universal body substance isolation and enforces safety regulations according to hospital policies on a continual basis. Continually deliver quality diagnostic, therapeutic and interventional patient care services. Practices and enforces safety guidelines. Performs Quality Control as needed.
• Supports and assists with data collection for process improvement while understanding the department performance trends and established standards. Contributes and encourages others to contribute toward process improvement by serving on PI teams as assigned. Participates in department surveys and patient satisfaction initiatives. Utilizes patient service recovery resources when appropriate. 
• Keeps Manager or Director informed and seeks assistance and direction from appropriate individuals when confronted with unfamiliar procedures and techniques, before implementing them, to ensure deliverance of safe and effective patient care. Communicates and collaborates with multidisciplinary team to ensure high quality patient care. Maintains a professional relationship with all customers. 

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

Minimum qualifications:

• Associate degree in Cardiovascular Technology, Nursing, Radiologic Technology, or Respiratory Therapy
• Minimum of three years of experience as a Cardiovascular Technologist, Radiologic Technologist, Registered Nurse, or Respiratory Therapist
• Coordinator or supervisory experience
• BLS
• ACLS
• PALS (Cost center 7266) 

• Registered Nurse (RN)
• Radiologic Technologist (R.T.(R))
• Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
• Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) from Cardiovascular Credentialing International
• Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) from Cardiovascular Credentialing International

Preferred qualifications: 

• Computer skills in word processing and email, such as, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Knowledge of PACS, Heart lab, Apollo and other associated systems
• Managerial experience
• Current valid State of Florida or multi state license as a Registered Nurse
• Bachelor’s degree in Cardiopulmonary or Healthcare Management, or a related field
• Specialty certification as defined by individual cost center
