SUMMARY OF POSITION: 

Responsible for the operation of diagnostic medical equipment to perform a variety of technical sonographic procedures for prenatal diagnoses and testing.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

Graduate of an accredited Program for Diagnostic Medical Sonography required

RDMS (OB/Gyn) certification required

Must meet Continuing Medical Education requirements in accordance with ARDMS guidelines

CPR certification required or must obtain within 6 months from date of hire

Nuchal Translucency certification and Nasal Bone certification must be completed within 1 year from hire date

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES: 

Knowledge of M-mode, Pulse, and color Doppler waveforms required

Knowledge of 3D/4D imaging required

Thorough understanding of maternal-fetal pathology required

Knowledge of sterile technique used during invasive procedures required

Strong analysis skills, communication skills and interpersonal skills required

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

2 years of General or 1 year Maternal Fetal scanning experience preferred 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS*: 

Able to stand constantly; walk & sit occasionally

Able to lift/carry 0-10 frequently; 11-50 lbs occasionally

Able to push/pull 0-20 lbs frequently; 21-75 lbs occasionally

Able to reach constantly. Able to use hands for simple/firm grasping
