Phlebotomist-Lab Aide Trainee ProgramInformation about the ProgramMust be enrolled in a recognized Phlebotomist-Lab Aide Trainee Program that is in partnership with MultiCare (This enrollment will be done via MultiCare and our partnership with Spokane Community College) This is a Phlebotomist-Lab Aide Trainee Program. -The candidate will have a "full time"/benefit eligible, paid position, at the time of hire date. You are paid during the training.-There is a one year work agreement/commitment to work for MultiCare due to the investment of the program.-At the end of a successful program, there will be a variety of Phlebotomist-Lab Aide positions in various clinics located at Rockwood Clinic(s), Deaconess Hospital and Valley Hospital, in Spokane WA. Upon successful completion of the Phlebotomist-Lab Aide Trainee program, and once credentialed, you will have the opportunity for an open position as a Phlebotomist-Lab Aide positions at MultiCare.The final Phlebotomist-Lab Aide positions once the program is completed are: Full time day, nights or evening positions. They are 10hr shifts.
MultiCare will pay for the Phlebotomist education/course.

Medical Assistant-Phlebotomist Certification. Registration certification
: This will be started during the program. This will be worked on/obtained via the Training Program and in collaboration with MultiCare after your start date. This is at the cost of the employee.
The program is 7 weeks
Monday through Friday training schedule 8hr shifts
Once the test is successfully passed and have an active MAP Certification. -The employee will then have the opportunity to apply for open Phlebotomist Lab Aide positions.-Payrate for Phlebotomist Trainee position iw $14.95
The Training program has a start date of July 18, 2022.

Job Description: The Phlebotomist Trainee is responsible for obtaining blood specimens from patients of all ages primarily in an acute care, and ambulatory setting under the supervision of a Phlebotomist. This position works closely with the laboratory and patient care teams. This position requires a service-oriented individual who can establish good, positive, and effective relations with all patients and staff, who has exceptional organization skills, pays attention to detail, and uses discretion and good judgment in decision-making. Internal contacts include MHS staff and management. External contacts include patients, patients families, and physicians
