Loyola University Health Systems' Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine is seeking a full-time Surgical Pathology Faculty physician to join the team located in Maywood, Illinois. Interest and/or experience in Gastrointestinal, Pancreatic, or Hepatobiliary Pathology is preferred.

The Department of Pathology and Laboratory houses the Regional Laboratory for Loyola University Health System, responsible for Anatomic Pathology services at multiple locations in the region (Loyola University Medical Center, Gottlieb Memorial Hospital, and MacNeal Hospital). The successful candidate will join a cohesive team of subspecialized surgical pathologists who handle approximately 40,000 surgical specimens annually. Ample opportunities for clinical/translational research and multidisciplinary collaboration with investigators of the Cardinal Bernardin Cancer Center and faculty in the Center for Translational Research and Education (CTRE) are available on campus.

Successful candidates are expected to actively participate in the department UME medical education, and GME pathology education programs including our AP/CP residency and Surgical Pathology fellowship. Experience in an academic multi-disciplinary university clinical setting is preferred. The department has a track-record of excellent mentorship and sponsorship for faculty. Licensure or eligibility for licensure in the State of Illinois is required.

Faculty of the Loyola University Health System are eligible for academic appointments at the Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine. The appointment will be at the level of Assistant, Associate, or full Professor level commensurate with experience and achievements.
