Job Summary:

Serves as the primary administrator for Laboratory and Pathology Services.  Responsible for all aspects of departmental operations, including clinical operations, administrative functions, regulatory compliance, budget accountability, strategic planning, process improvement, personnel management, and service excellence.

Minimum Requirements:

Education         

• Bachelor degree in Medical Technology or sciences field.
• Master’s degree in Health or Business Administration.

Experience        

• Two years’ experience at the technologist level.
• Five years of recent supervisory experience in a clinical laboratory at an acute care hospital.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Demonstrated evidence of critical thinking skills applied in a highly complex business environment

License/Registration/Certifications             

• Certification as a Medical Technologist or related laboratory field by an acceptable laboratory registry agency.
