**Market Manager of Laboratory over Central Coast Market, Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center & Twin Cities Community Hospital**

Under the supervision of the Laboratory Director, this position provides supportive management of the Clinical and Anatomical Laboratories; CLS, lab assistant, phlebotomy, mailroom and pathology staff at Sierra Vista Medical Center and it's offsite locations. Prioritizes the laboratory staff's workload and assign work duties to ensure the delivery of high quality, cost effective diagnostic services in a timely manner. Will be able to perform laboratory testing in emergency situations. Will be responsible for the coordination and completion of laboratory billing and reporting. Will participate in hiring, training, mentoring, scheduling and evaluating of any or all licensed as well as non-licensed staff and Cuesta Phlebotomy Students. Proactively examine processes and looks for opportunities to improve services to all internal and external customers. Ensures the safety, effectiveness and efficiency of all areas of responsibility. Directly reports to the Laboratory Director.
Qualifications:Required Training/Education/Experience/Certification: 1). Bachelors degree in Medical Technology or related degree. 2). 2 Years laboratory experience 3). 2-3 years Supervisory / Managerial experience in a clinical laboratory setting. 4). Experience in managing in an Union environment preferred.
Current CLS license.
Successful completion of an accredited laboratory training program. Must be able to follow instruction, work quickly and accurately in a fast paced environment. Ability to prioritize workload and multitask are essential. Good verbal and written English communication skills. Must be able to fulfill the essential functions of the position. Can demonstrate competence in preforming Hematology, Clinical Chemistry. Serology. Urinalysis, Microbiology and related testing on clinical specimens. Familiar with Joint Commission Laboratory Accreditation Standards.
