Histotechnologist
The Histotechnician supports the Laboratory's surgical pathology service by preparing, processing and staining tissue specimens for examination by the pathologist. Assures accurate and timely processing of specimens under the general supervision of the supervisor, and also render assistance in the day-to-day administration of the laboratory.General duties and responsibilities:• Knowledgeable in the handling of specimens from grossing to final specimen storage.• Organizes and performs work according to section's procedure manual and collaborates with other personnel toward an efficient laboratory workflow.• Reports any problem or non-conformance to the supervisor.• Monitors equipment temperature; correctly labels and stores all reagents; keeps working
