Job Responsibilities: (This list may not contain all the duties assigned and can change) Accessions or verifies previously accessioned orders in the Orders Management System. Makes corrections to accessions as needed before passing them on to technical personnel. Receives orders electronically into the Lab System. Distributes prepared specimens to various laboratory areas. Prepares send out manifests for reference lab work and packs specimens according to the manifest. Calls the reference lab as needed to verify specimen requirements and to arrange special handling of specimens. Alerts the supervisor to improperly collected specimens or mislabeled specimens. Maintains a chain of custody for ir
