Description JOB SUMMARY: Assures the integrity and quality of clinical research trials are maintained under occasional guidance. Plans and implements recruitment procedures, manages enrollment of the trial, and ensures compliance with protocols. RESEARCH INFO & SPECIFIC DUTIES: The research nurse specialist will be working with our team of critical care research nurse specialists to screen the VUMC Medical, Surgical and Trauma ICUs daily for patients who meet the inclusion and exclusion criteria for the STAT clinical trial of Mesenchymal Stem/Stromal Cells in ARDS as well as a number of other observational studies that enroll patients in the Vanderbilt ICUs.
