These positions are located in the Pathology and Laboratory Service at the Marion VA Medical Center in Marion, IL. Major duties and responsibilities include: Performing procedures in the areas of chemistry (including special chemistry and toxicology), hematology, coagulation, urinalysis, immunology, immunohematology (blood banking), microbiology, and specimen procurement and processing. Selecting, performing, evaluating and monitoring the performance of test procedures as necessary. Documenting information pertaining to mislabeled and rejected specimens and notifying the appropriate provider.
