HISTOTECHNOLOGIST/HISTOTECHNICIAN
Job Summary Responsible for daily functions within the Histology Lab; accurate recording and handling of all histology specimens; assisting with gross, embedding, cutting, staining, and coverslipping surgical slides; special stains and immunoperoxidase techniques; daily slide count; quality control of slides; equipment and maintenance logs; maintenance of slide and block files; supplies; storage and inventory; and light housekeeping duties.
