Summary

The Department of Pathology and Laboratory medicine at St. Jude Children's Hospital is seeking an anatomic pathologist at the assistant, associate or full member level. Applicants should have a strong interest in the diagnosis and biology of pediatric solid tumors. While the main component of the position is devoted to the diagnostic service, there will be opportunities for independent research studies and collaborative research within the Developmental Biology and Solid Tumor Program, and the successful candidate will have a leading role in a new DBSTP initiative on the use of methylation profiling for the classification of pediatric solid tumors.

 

St. Jude Children's Research Hospital is one of the premier pediatric cancer hospitals in the United States and has a strong faculty of clinical and basic investigators organized into academic departments. Strong interdepartmental programs are present in pediatric solid tumors, hematological malignancies, neuro-oncology / development neurobiology, and molecular oncogenesis. Clinical and basic research activities are carried out in adjacent state-of-the-art buildings on the St. Jude campus, which provides an environment to foster close collaboration between clinical and basic science investigators.

Minimum Education

Candidates should have an MD (or equivalent) degree.

Minimum Experience

The successful candidate must be board certified in anatomic pathology or AP/CP and have a record of scholarly achievement. Candidates with an interest in clinical research or an active program in translational research are encouraged to apply.
